My favourite travel app is definitely Ulmon (CityMaps2Go) which lets you use offline maps (yes it works on airplane mode!) and acts as my travel planner. It’s the number one app for getting travel inspirations and planning future trips.

The app offers a wide range of content on top of the maps such as travel guide articles, points of interest, finding streets by name, public transport and hotels. The map will even locate you by showing you where you are on the map. It’s very useful when you are trying to go to a point of interest you’ve pinned on the map. As soon as your Ulmon app is loaded to your device it does not need any internet access.

The application even lets you create a list of your favourite places and you can pin them on your map.

I always use Ulmon when planning my trips. It’s very user friendly, all you have to do is download the map of where you’re travelling to and pin the places you want to visit on the map. You can even mark them as seen once you’ve visited them.

Note that there is a free version of the app which allows you one free map download. Since I use it a lot, I’ve decided to purchase the Pro-Version for $16.99 which gives you access to an unlimited amount of map downloads. I don’t usually buy apps but this one is so worth it!
